FAQ
What width ribbon should I choose to make a sash? +
A sash for a mister or miss pageant is usually 100mm wide, or 10cm. On a 100mm wide ribbon, we can print the largest text, making your text and/or logo clearly visible. Alternatively, a 70mm wide ribbon would also work, especially for a child’s sash, where 70mm is wide enough.
How many meters of ribbon do I need to make a sash? +
For an adult, 2 meters of ribbon is sufficient. This provides 1 meter for the front and 1 meter for the back. For a child’s sash, 1.5 meters (75cm for the front and 75cm for the back) is enough.
Do you also print sashes for children? +
Yes, for a child, 1.5 meters of ribbon is enough. This provides 75cm for the front and 75cm for the back. Please mention that it is for a child when ordering so we can adjust the printing accordingly. You can order per meter, so for 1 child sash, you’d need 2 meters, but for 2 child sashes, 3 meters is sufficient.
Are the sashes ready-made? +
We only print ribbons (not just for sashes), and we are very good at it. You can cut the ribbons to size yourself (the ribbon won’t fray) and secure the ends with a needle and thread, a safety pin, or Velcro. You can also simply tie the ends together.
How is the text printed on the sash? +
We print the ribbon so that the sash is worn over the right shoulder, with the text readable from top to bottom on the front.
Can the back of the sash be printed too? +
Yes, and this doesn’t affect the price. You can specify whether you want the same or different text printed on the back when ordering. The text on the back is read from the hip to the shoulder.
